A few days later, the celebrations moved to Madrid. Hundreds of thousands of supporters packed the streets as the players made their way through the city on an open-top bus, lifting the 2026 World Cup trophy and soaking in the moment with fans. It was one of those celebrations where everyone seemed to have their phones out, trying to capture every smile, every chant, and every unforgettable moment.
Of course, while most people were looking at the trophy, we were looking somewhere else—the players’ wrists.
