Manhattan was always two things at once.
From above — pure geometry. Every avenue squared, every intersection drawn with a ruler. At street level — chaos. Jazz spilling out of basement clubs, color climbing the façades, lives running on a thousand different clocks.
For the third hand-painted edition in our MAEN Manhattan series — after Graffiti and After Dark — we put that contradiction onto a 37 mm dial.
Sharp geometry holds the frame, drawn from the chevrons, sunbursts, and stepped forms that defined 1920s New York architecture. Inside the frame, a riot of color — chevrons crash into mesh, jewel tones argue with primary tones, two concentric disks spin at the center like records on a Jazz-Age gramophone.
Each custom dial is hand-painted by IFL Watches’ in-house artists. Subtle differences in brushwork, color weight, and pattern alignment ensure that no two pieces are exactly the same.
Order on the outside. Beautiful chaos within. 🎨
